Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't

They had the coolest installation in the student gallery room today! Usually the room is given to seniors who do a big show presenting their work, photos, drawings, etc, but the person who is putting on a show now has the room filled with grass! He's brought in huge mounds of dirt and made the dirt into sloping mini hills and then covered them with sod. The sign said that people were welcome to take off their shoes and walk around in there. They had a tree planted and a picnic table set up with a bag of chips and a bag of tortillas out for anyone to take. It felt cool to walk around on this totally transformed space. I don't think I'm really doing it justice. I might have to go by and take a picture of it so everyone can see what I'm talking about. I think the main part of the show goes on this Friday night where people were asked to bring blankets and there would be "fireworks" which I can only assume will be fake fireworks explosions projected on the white wall. I think I might just be crazy enough show up for that.

I scanned in some of my photographs from the sequencing assignment. I have to scan the other 5 or 6 of them later tonight because my roommate is sleeping and the scanner is too loud. But here are the lower end of the "consumer excess" theme. The rest will hopefully be posted later tonight and added to this section so that they can be seen in the proper sequence, but for now just keep in mind that this is only half the project.

Is it just my computer, or is that a sequence of two photos? It must have been tough choosing a sequence with all those possible orders...

you suck. There are actually 11 pictures, i posted 5, and for some reason only 2 showed up. Gotta fix that. :)
