Whoa no touchy! No touchy! No touch

This is my first chance to sit down and update since I started working at Steinmart. The first few days were hellish. I didn't know anyone I was working with, my feet hurt, i didn't get time to spend with friends at all, and I kept hitting the wrong buttons on the register that sent off a chain reaction of horrible beeping signals. As I work more and more though, I think that I'm getting used to the routine and I'm not screwing up as much as I was. The people at work are becoming friendly and not so much ominous people to yell at me. I have a feeling that by next week I'll be into the groove of things, and be really happy that I'm earning a paycheck. Especially when I remember that it'll go to good use next year. Plus, some people I know have much worse jobs and worse hours, so I can't complain much. I wanted this, remember Sarah? Uh huh...

Other than work, my life's not been that exciting. I went to UCLA last Wednesday to pick up Connor and then we all went to Amoeba where I bought a Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon...staples of any collection but that I for some reason didn't have. Also picked up that Zero 7 record that I had wanted. The highlight of my day was when I saw Kris Roe (lead singer from the ataris) standing a few feet away from me shopping. I stared at him for a bit, considered whether to confess my love for his band's techie and ask for the phone number so that we could get married and have lots of sex and babies, decided it was rude to say anything as he probably gets hassled a lot and I am not cool enough to speak to him in Amoeba, and then he walked away. But it was a fun trip overall. I have to work a big sale this weekend, but I have off on Monday, so hopefully something amazing and exciting will happen
